Jmat's guitar works as it should. A few bits to go.

Yet another beautiful piece of work Bruce! I love that backstrap against the mahogany neck!

Despite having a couple of really wonderful Sexauers, there is something deeply pleasing to pick up and play my 12 fret mahogany mini-D. That is a truly ideal players guitar there, with the added cutaway, and I love the tuners -

You will always be happy having that within arms reach - Congrats!

Default New FT-OC-WRX

I’m the fortunate future owner of Bruce’s current FT-OC-WRX build. All of the stars miraculously lined up (climate, build schedule, specs, etc.) to allow what is going to be an order-to-finish time WAY shorter than I expected. Saying I’m looking forward to this would be an understatement.

That's a beauty! Congrats, Jmat! Based on what Bruce has been building lately, I think you will be very happy.

Thanks for checking in Bebo, and welcome to the forum. This time last year was not auspicious for guitar making as the Easterly flow and subsequent fires made the air too dry. This year, so far, things are unexpectedly just right and that is why your wait was non-existent: I had an un-booked month!

Welcome to the forum. Being a fellow Sexauer FT-0-C owner, I am certain that yours will amaze you (congrats).

Well, unlike a lot of these folks, I merely own one Sexauer although it is a BRW with Italian spruce topped masterpiece.

As a moderator of the AGF, I too welcome you to the forum. IMO the custom shop is the best place to hang out albeit somewhat expensive lol!

Welcome to the forum! Can't wait to see this build go through the stages and hear it when it's finished.

Default The "0" Back

Traditional Martin “0”s have 3 back braces, and while I have done that, I choose to make my backs thinner than they do, and use 4 back braces. I have used a “Schoenberg” backstrip as that is what the guitar you first mentioned uses. This backstrip may have been first spec’d by Eric, but it has become ubiquitous and is available from LMI.
