It sounds much warmer than my spruce-topped guitars, but not muddy. I was most surprised by how much volume it had for a relatively (to a GA) small body.

I hope that makes sense. I lack the detailed musical vocabulary of some of the other contributors here, but I really like the guitar. I like it so much, in fact, that I am now stalking one of the custom Rainbow models.

Thank you! I love it. Very different sound to my other guitars in a way that is difficult to describe, but it's extremely resonant and well made.

I would definitely buy another Furch. In fact, I fully intend to

Similar to you, I was Furch curious for some time but didn't have extensive experience of them: not many shops carry Furch guitars near where I live.

This purchase has removed any doubt I had about them, though. I would definitely look at Furch the next time GAS strikes.

It’s a beauty!! How does it sound? I love those tuner buttons, my wife’s OM has similar on her OM23.

I agree, the branded Hiscox cases are excellent. I’ve had a Hiscox for my Guild for over 30 years, I think I must have got it just a few years after the company started. At the time I lived about 20 miles from the factory...
Hi, Pieter.

Thank you again for all your help with making my mind up on this purchase (on a previous thread)

It's a magnificent instrument, in my inexpert opinion. I prefer it to other big-brand guitars that I've tried recently that cost significantly more. I know that a person's perception of sound is subjective, but that's the way I feel about it.

I'm trying not to look at the Furch Rainbow series yet. GAS is a terrible thing...

Very nice guitar - congrats on your purchase!

Could you post a picture with a little bit of rosewood porn, perhaps?

As we all know, buying any guitar sight unseen is a risk. But I have found Furch to be one of the most consistent builders in regards to quality and sound.

Congrats on a sweet guitar.

Get out your pocket book. Their custom shop guitars are silly expensive. I looked at it for my recent Furch purchase and very quickly decided that a stock Furch would do just fine

A wise decision. Such restraint is uncommon on this forum

100%. Consistency is a huge part of their core values as a company. Petr talks about that in most video presentations I have seen him do.

The one thing I will say that I'm not sure I'm a fan of with Furch is their use of non-metal buttons on the tuners. Is this a cost cutting thing? Not sure. I'm a bit of a sucker for all metal tuners. This is preference at the end of the day.

I have never owned a guitar that did not have all metal tuners. Clearly it is not a show stopper, because I still purchased a Furch ;-0 Maybe they'll grow on me once the guitar is in my possession.

Just sayin'. I find it to be an interesting choice that they have made for their guitars. Seems different than a lot of guitar manufacturers. Perhaps that is why they are doing it? To differentiate or something?

Hard to say why Furch made that design choice, but it doesn't really bother me. Please let me know what you think of yours once it arrives

I don't own a Furch, but one of the things that I find so attractive about them is the tuner buttons they use. I think they accentuate the guitar so much more than metal, but that's just a personal thing.

That’s it. It’s preference. I don’t dislike them at all, I just gravitate more to the metal.

Hardly an issue that should factor into a guitar purchase at the end of the day

My wife’s dagger eyes made the restraint come easier ;-0

Thank you!

I'm too shy to upload a sample of me playing it, unfortunately
