How nostalgic! I had three of these at one time and they're a very high quality unit, and that hidden 10" driver underneath sure gets people scratching their heads wondering where all the bottom end is coming from. So nice having the built-in tilt back legs too.

I have one of these and for those here who also play keyboard, this thing doubles as a great keyboard amplifier. It is a curious thing that I have never heard or seen that mentioned anywhere. It is a very versatile amp that sounds great in any setting. I keep mine sitting out for either acoustic guitar or my keyboard. If I played bass, it would be great for that too.

The first two Acoustic Image amps I bought were for my bass player girlfriend and I liked them so much I ended up buying three more over a couple of year span for my acoustic solo pa system.

I’ve only seen/heard one of these, and I was really impressed!

I had a Fender Acoustisonic (the midsize model) at the time and this thing blew mine off the stage!!
I didn’t know about the 10 inch woofer pointing down til I saw the pictures today.
That explains.. well, that and 300 watts.. why it had such a big sound.

Mine was sooo thin by comparison.
This is the good stuff.

Smile Thank you all!!

Thanks, everyone for the nice comments. These are FANTASTIC amps and about as versatile as one could wish for. All in a 20lb package!!!

The tweeter defeat switch is taped in the on position. A couple times I could not figure out what happened to the high end... I had bumped the tweeter switch to off. Oops. So my low tech fix is shown in the pics.

PLENTY of power for any extension!

At this point, I am reminded often of the famous Chinese curse:

"may you live in interesting times"

have fun anyway!

I don't recall having seen one of these show up here for sale, so this may be somebody's chance at a great all around amp. I have had mine for years and never had a problem with it.

Also a close up of my low tech defeat of the tweeter defeat switch.

Cheers

Smile Price drops...

Dropped price here and on Reverb.

Still cheaper here on the good old AGF, plus free shipping! Yay

If you want to talk about this, I love to speak with AGF members, and talk about guitars and gear.

You can call me at 619-445-1189. This is a landline (outside of San Diego) so no text. 9 o'clock to 9 o'clock Pacific Time.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have! Someone here wants this, and will put it to good use…

Stay well, play often, have fun!

Paul
