Pono C20DC Grand Concert Guitar
Purchased new in late 2015 Pono C-20DC, Grand Concert guitar. 1 3/4 “nut, short scale (24.75), 14 fret, 15” wide, cutaway. Excellent condition with the exception of a small thumbnail indentation on the back of the neck (see photo) and a tiny pin head sized dent on the lower bout I couldn't capture in a photo.
Plays/ sounds great .intonation spot on. Bone nut & saddle, Rosewood purfling, Solid Mahogany Back & Sides with Solid Spruce top, ebony fret board, ebony bridge, gloss finish. Original Hard Shell Case included. I haven't sold on this board before, but have completed a number of transactions on TGP over the years (same user name) Measurements: Lower Bout 15/381, Upper Bout 11.2/290, Depth Upper Bout 3.5/90, Depth Lower Bout 4.4/113 SOLD http://s1011.photobucket.com/user/gi...w/Pono%20C20DC Last edited by gill; 03-07-2020 at 06:28 PM. |

Solid mahogany/rosewood purfling
It is amazing how much guitar you get for your money from pacific rim builders. Solid mahogany (very nice back) and the rosewood purfling is a nice undersated touch. I hate it when someone say I'd buy it but, but I ordered an Emerald 3 days ago. Good luck on your sale.

This one has been tempting me. Can you give me another more well known guitar maker/model that this compares well to....
I assume it doesn't have electronics. How's the neck shape/size? thx Pete

Hello Pete-Correct, no electronics. Sorry, but I'm really not good at describing neck shapes-the closest acoustic I have owned size wise was a Larrivee OM and that neck seemed to be a little thinner. I know the fretboard has a 12" radius and the that most Martins use same size frets (from John at Pono: fret wire is nickel/silver, .080 wide, and a standard medium height soit’s not thin and not jumbo).
Hope this helps. |

That does help. Thanks. I love taylor necks and I very much respect larrivees. I almost bought a gs mini yesterday. This one is definitely on the list!

i have the C10-DC and can say these guitars are stellar. At this price, this is a great buy, and you’ll be hard pressed to find anything this well made at a similar price point.
Now for the standard disclaimer: I do not know the seller, nor will I gain anything from the sale of this Guitar. |

Me too
I will agree! These are very nice. This will smoke any GS Mini. I had a 12 fret Slope Dread Mahogany/Sitka Pono that was the most bang for the buck ever.
The neck on mine was billed as slim but I found it closer to Medium. The Nut and Saddle spacing were 1.75" and 2 3/16" like most Taylors. The neck was similar to a newer Taylor but just a bit more full and I have small hands... SIGH I hope this helps. And I do not know the seller either... Best on this Paul
