It arrives Tuesday. Pics will come shortly there after!

I'm loving the post 2016 electros. The binding, true Gretsch fret markers and smaller headstock really make it beautiful.

Can’t wait to see your new acquisition. So glad I found “That Great Gretsch Sound”. Played my 5622/Hi’Lo’s out tonight with the new AC15 and Hotcake. Had a blast. And, was so pleased with the tone...on all fronts.

Looking forward to your NGD pics and your review!

12" of snow and it is still coming down, but UPS is saying 1130am-130pm delivery window. If they make it, I will be seriously impressed. Pics and review to follow once it warms up

Gretsch showed up. Absolutely beautiful instrument, in looks and tone.

Sounds lovely through my home made 'Cusstone' 18 Watt Plexi clone.

Great clean and jangly overdriven tones.

Gretsch goodness!

And just for fun, here is my home made amp. I will appropriately add the Gretsch to the pic in due time.

Very nice! Love it! I just finished restringing all 3 of mine and the J-45. Always enjoy cleaning them up, restringing, and taking updated pics. I use S.I.T. .11’s on mine. They come with both a wound and unwound G. I like a wound G on a Bigsby.

Did you add the Vibramate?

Also, the amp looks sweet! The Gretsch should sing through it!

FWIW, the rubber cover on the trem is there for protection during shipping. It can be removed. Unless you like the feel. Regardless, well done!

Ah, very good. I'll remove the plastic cover.

What is a Vibramate?

I did order the Reverend spring. I assume I just put it on next time I change strings?

That Vibramate Spoiler is a great idea, saves a lot of time/trouble pushing the pins on the roller shaft through the ball ends when restringing - need to get them for both my 5622 and White Falcon...

Use it well, often, and LOUD...

It’s the plate under the bridge that allows you to string the Gretsch MUCH simpler than bending each ball end around the trem and attaching the ball to the peg underneath.

And yep on the spring. Just pop out the old one and stick the new one in when you have the strings off. I’d give the trem a gentle push to make sure the spring seats correctly and you should be good to go.

These help if stringing a Bigsby the traditional way...

Outstanding! I didn’t even notice it, but I’m a Gretsch newbie for sure.

The seller neglected to include the hardshell case that they claimed came with the guitar, so they just refunded me the $120 for that. Time to shop for a nice case for this lovely instrument.

When I string a traditional Bigsby, as I pull the string up to the tuner I clamp it under a capo until it's into the tuner and tightened.
