Default TRADED! Huss and Dalton 00-SP (2015)

Up for sale is a gently used Huss and Dalton 00-SP (2015). It is in excellent condition. The only imperfections I could find are shown in 2 pics posted here. They are both very superficial and are almost not palpable - especially the one on the back of the neck. There is essentially zero fret wear.

It had a professional set up by a luthier in Olympia, WA on 03/2019 which resulted in a new bone saddle, leveling of 2 frets that were high (1st and 2nd), and an adjustment of the string nut.

SPECS:

12 fret
Sitka top
East Indian Rosewood back and sides
1 3/4 nut
Saddle Spacing 2 5/16”
Scale Length 24.9 "
Original hard shell case
H&D truss rod wrench included

This wonderful sounding guitar is well balanced and articulate. Piano like notes! The 12 fret design places the bridge right in the sweet spot.

Traded! - Thanks AGF!

Thanks for looking!

These are great guitars and this is a very fair price. Someone buy this and be happy.

Don't know whether to be happy or sad this doesn't have a wider fretboard! I simply struggle with 1 3/4 necks, otherwise I'd be clicking, "Buy It Now." LOL.

For some reason, I thought that the 00-SP model had the 1 7/8" nut. My 00 (not SP), which has the "paddle" style headstock does have a 1 7/8" nut, the 2 5/16" saddle string spacing, and the short scale. Anyway, I just checked Huss & Dalton's site, and sure enough, they ALL have a 1 3/4" nut, so mine must have been a special order. I bought it used and was built in 2005, so I wouldn't know for sure if that has always been true.

In any case, these Huss & Dalton 00 models are truly fine guitars. The neck is quite comfortable, and I am not sure that, with the way they shape the neck, that 1 3/4" nut would be uncomfortable for those wanting a wider fretboard. It seems to me, as another who prefers a wider fretboard, that I can certainly live with the narrower 1 3/4" fretboard if the string spacing at the nut is a bit wider (as it is in this 00-SP), and the neck shape is comfortable to begin with. You certainly can't lose with a Huss & Dalton 00! I think the OP's asking price is quite the bargain for a Huss & Dalton 00.

Thanks for all the feedback and support!

Just re-measured the nut and string spacing at the saddle and, yes, it's correct as described in my posting.

So, that gave me an opportunity to play it again.. I'm going to regret giving this one up but right now finances dictate....

The tone is rich and volume surprising for a 00.

Thanks again for looking!

There have been a couple of threads about Huss & Dalton 00 models and all participants seem to agree with you on the tone of these instruments. Many say that the 00 is Huss & Dalton's best offering. I suspect most folks would prefer the 1 3/4" nut. You will regret selling it, and may want to consider possible alternatives.
