Leader of The Band Dan Fogelberg cover
I wanted to put this up before Fathers Day. This is my favorite Dan Fogelberg song. My dad(83 years old)use to ask me to play this for him. Then he got to where he would ask, "what was that song you use to do that I like?" These days when I'm able to play it for him, I just start playing it and he remembers. Dad was my first singer/guitar player combination hero. If I heard him playing his guitar, I was soon at his feet watching every move. Dad doesn't play anymore but he'll always be my hero. Dan Fogelberg said of this song which he wrote for his dad, "If I could have only written one song, it would have been this one" I'm glad he wrote this for all of us who had fathers that brought us along! Love you Dad! Happy Fathers day 2019 I played and recorded guitar harmony background first, then sang and recorded the background harmony vocals using my Digitech JamMan Loop pedal, then transferred them to my domino size Zen digital player. I never met the guy, (Fogelberg), but I was more than a little sad when he passed on so young. His tunes got me through some interesting times in my life.
