Wow! Amazing set of ABW (must say I am partial to the look of the sapwood - though sounds like you have something up your sleeve for the backstrip). And, like you, that is one of my favourite Kostal rosettes - perhaps even my favourite!

I'm fortunate to have a played a number of Jason's guitars (and to own two) - and really enjoyed Mr Watts' MDW: a truly fabulous sounding instrument.

This one looks like it's going to be awesome...!

There is a recent thread about guitars you would never sell. I’ll assume this one will make the list.
And your assumption would be correct! I have a Tippin, Kinnaird and this one that will likely be with me until the end.

If people want to meet him and try his guitars in person he is going to be attending the B. I. G. Event in March. I have room for about 10 more people first come first serve. Come show Jason your love personally and have a great time with the rest of us.
I will second Tom's suggestion. To meet and mingle with Jason and Michael Watts and all the AGFers is going to be special. Don't miss it!

I had a full-fat Kostal MD in ABW and sold it partly because, over time, I found it was far too large for me. I didn't order a wedge and thought I would play the OM more anyway...I didn't. I really liked what the MD offered.
So, I think the MDW size is a perfect compromise. I've played Michael's and it's a very comfortable guitar indeed while still bringing most of the qualities of the full-on model.
Cheers, Steve
Thanks for the input. Makes me feel I made the right choice on model.

Thanks for the feedback. I plan to discuss this with Jason.

Well they do say that playing music is good for your health and longevity. So with those guitars you should be around for a long, long long time

Been dreamin' bout this since Jason ventured out on his own. Thx

I know many of you will jones on me for eliminating the sapwood but Jason and I have agreed to do something special with the back. An initial backstrip in Cocobolo to match our binding. Man, this is going to punch against the dark ABW.

Here Jason shows his layout for the art deco blocks and the gorgeous piece of dyed burl they will be cut from. Wowsa!

This dye work is nothing short of spectacular!

Until the next photos!

Well, Jason worked late and finished the deco inlays on the back. OMG! Wait till you see this.

Photos posted tonight when I get home. (and I pick my jaw up off the floor)
