Dollar for dollar, the Taylor 555 is the best 12 string I have ever owned or played. I still have no idea why the 555 isn't one of Taylor's flagship models.

I owned this one for a short spell, but with my move it had to go back to Paul. It plays small, for a 12 and that’s a special gift on a 12-string.

I’ve been off-forum for 3-4 weeks, after a long move west. This morning I spent 10-15 min just watering my guitars. Those of you who live in the SW, the high desert, will certainly understand!

I also own a 555, I can't immediately think of a 12-string acoustic that's easier to play with such a big voice. Good luck OP, nice guitar you have there.

This looks like a GREAT deal on a guitar to me. Although I've never owned a 555, I have heard them talked about before with great enthusiasm. I have a great deal of respect for the seller as he simply doesn't own a bad guitar, and on top of that is a GREAT guy to work with.

I also greatly respect a Tim Luranc setup as you simply can't find a better setup given his involvement with Taylor and R Taylor guitars for so many years.

Of all the 12 strings I have played over the years, Taylor 555s are by far the easiest to play and the best sounding. That is pretty rare to have those qualities at this price point.

This particular 555 is from the best period of 555 production, sold by as good an AGF'er as you can find, and at an extremely reasonable price.

I already have a 555 or this guitar would not still be here.

If you have any desire to own a 12 string, take advantage of this opportunity while you can.

Just got this today, Wednesday, from the AGF gentleman who bought my Martin CS 00-12 all gloss hog, which shipped Monday.

"First of all, standing O for the packing job. Well done sir. I learned a few tips.

Second, the instrument is in the condition described. Perhaps even better than what I had in my mind from your description.

Third, it plays beautifully up and down the fret board. The tone is lovely and projection very surprising from a 00 body.

Hey Gang, As I have mentioned repeatedly, I take great pride (and spend a lot of time and money) in getting my instruments in perfect playing condition. And looking as good as can be, too.

And I consider packing guitars an art form! Otherwise it would be silly, the amount of OCD swaddling I do for these babies.
