The online demos are terrible. I agree. The pedal sounds much better than that would lead you to believe. Its a flexible EQ modeled after a 1990s analog recording mixer channel. You can pretty much dial in whatever sound you could on one of those.

speck asc. not a pedal but a wonderful eq
They are 1/2 rack units.
They look like this.

i bought them used. usually around 300 to 350.00 per unit used if your patient and shop around.
