I just put the finishing touches on a Sitka spruce and wenge baritone...all ready for delivery now. My customer told me "I'll leave the details up to you. Just build what you'd make for yourself." OK...can do!

Beautiful guitar, Matt. I really like the understated appearance of Wenge and especially how good binding can contrast with it. I have yet to build with it but am definitely hoping to sometime in the near future.

But I've got a question -- what are those flowering plants behind you -- one with the yellow flowers and the other with the purple flowers.

Wenge is an AWESOME tonewood. It rings like Brazilian, and pretty much every binding looks good with it!

Amey says the purple is some kind of sage, and she can't remember what the yellow one is.

Those reports take time! I still send regular photo galleries to my customers but I haven't devoted as much time to putting together those little journal entries for the front page.
