Default NGD Furch Red Deluxe GC-SR

Had the chance to pick up a used, but like new Furch Red Deluxe yesterday at a very attractive price. What a great guitar. The built quality is far ahead of everything else I have.
Also soundwise it‘s just amazing. Clear, crispy with a good strong (not muddy) low end. I admire Frantisek and Petr Furch for what they built up and do now and wonder why I didn’t buy one of their nice and beautiful instruments earlier. Prices are VERY reasonable for this sound and quality!

A few more pics. Don’t know why they fell to the side again.

I probably prefer conventional fret markers but apart from that it looks superb!

Yes, this guitar has more bling than necessary. Still it looks nice.
Honestly, I think the Roman numbers look great, but the side markers were causing confusion for the first playing hours.

Grrr … I don’t like when the pics turn 90 degrees to the left.

Congrats! Very nice-looking guitar - tasteful bevel too.

How do you find the neck? I had a Stonebridge/Furch GA a few years back, which was very nice, but it had a C profile. Newer Furch guitars always seem to be advertised with a 'Furch soft V', but what is that? Is it similar to a newer Taylor or more like a Martin or Collings modified V?

Congrats on the new Furch - and welcome to the club! There’s quite a bunch of us Furch fans here (we have three!).

Yours is a very pretty guitar indeed - the bevel is gorgeous!

I think it’s because the forum-hosting site software’s default photo format is ‘landscape’, not ‘portrait’.

But I could be wrong, I remember being wrong once before…

Thanks for all the kind words. I’m more and more intrigued by this instrument. Tomorrow I will use the Furch in my 6-piece acoustic band. I think it has enough muscles to keep up with fiddle, banjo and mandolin.

Congrats on your Furch Peter! I've read lots of good things about them.

As a matter of fact, I just read an article about Suzanne Vega, and she is a big fan of them.

Enjoy yours.
