Default harmonics on short scale guitars

does short scale affect harmonics a lot?
it seems to me that the higher up i capo on a short scale, the harmonics i play sound very flat and lacks the ringing. if i remove the capo or move it down, it starts sounding better. is this normal?

Are you discussing what happens to harmonics when capoing a guitar, or just dealing with a short-scale guitar (as built)?

It looks like the former, rather than the latter...

...but just in case:

I have no problems with harmonics on my 24" scale guitars.

I have a 25.5" Taylor 110ce which gives me a hard time pulling out harmonics. Yesterday I played another Taylor, that was actually three times the price of mine, same scale length blah blah blah but I found a little bit easier to pull haromics on it.

You know the harmonic points shift when a capo goes on, right?

more about when capoing the guitar, but specifically on short scale. when you do 12th fret harmonics with no capo and when you capo 2nd fret and do 12th fret harmonics (at 14th actual fret), there is no loss in quality of harmonics?

and yes ed... lol

haha i have a guitar that costs 3 times less that plays better harmonics so it can't all be due to price.

I was shooting for quality, not price.
