Default tuning tip

I enjoy using a clip on headstock tuner, but finding the sweet spot due to frequency fluctuations between a string when first picked and subsequent energy loss as the string's movement range decreases can be a little bothersome. 12th fret harmonics are maybe a little better to tune with...maybe. Today I tuned, but instead of letting the strings ring out, I struck a note and muted it ; when I got the middle 'bingo this string is in tune' green light, I struck it and muted it again to make sure the same green light showed, I did this maybe five times per string. It worked really really well, is very fast, and the whole guitar seems to be in tune with itself without much need for fine tuning by ear. Give it a try and see what you think.
