Sorry to be insensitive...But...
If you're the person who thinks ANY new guitar can be bought for 90% off, you deserve what you got (which is NOT a new guitar, along with less money in your pocket)
But you learned a good life lesson, I suppose.

Reason number 2....

OP didn’t fall for it. He warned us about it. I could see a newbie taking the bait—we know that Sam Ash is shutting down.

I've reported those "all guitars 90% off" ads, FB said they don't see a problem with them....OK, sure.

This corroborates my initial impression from original poster's threadline (AKA, thread title): "Fake 'Sam Ash' guitar scam on Facebook."

From the wording, I concluded that it was actually a fake scam.

Unbelievable. That's all we need. Something more to worry about: Fake scams. Grin.

I got the "looks okay to us" email from FB. It comes with an box to click on if you disagree & they'll review it again. So I clicked on that, figuring there would be some way to explain that it was a scam. But no. Just

You requested a review of the ad. We'll send another update once we've reviewed it.

So. Seems likely FB will decide that an ad that attempts to defraud people does not violate community standards. Will update though, if they do respond.

I know. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell real poo from sham-poo.

Reminds me of Lisa Simpson:
"Bart, I know what this word means, but what is Shinola?"
