I haven't played a Martin SC yet, but I have played various offset body electric guitars, and they are incredibly comfortable to play while seated.

That's interesting.

I just checked Sweetwater, who list weights. I checked the weight of a half dozen of two different electric-acoustic models and most of them were less than 4-1/2 pounds.
