I do not own a McPherson but on the two occasions I played on (I believe a 4.5 and 3.5), I thought they were both exceptional. In fact, it kind of bothered me because I was thinking, "how can an offset sound hole guitar sound this good?" I don't know that I would necessarily buy one in the future, but I can say that my experience was a good one. For guitars in this price range, I would only consider buying in person. Good luck.
