Despite Larrivee's teacher being a classical guitar maker, Larrivee was never known for the quality of his classical guitars. (Like Larrivee, Gurian was also taught by a classical guitar maker, but was known for the quality of his steel string guitars.)
I had one of the same era, also made by Larrivee in his Toronto shop, a twin to the one in the video. I played it for a number of years before selling it to someone as a student guitar. It was nice-enough, but not a world-class classical guitar.
