Today the back went on and here is a little more detail of what I am doing with the sound port. First the back going on;
Here is a shot of the structure my throated port;
You can see the Spanish Cedar sound port mouth/heel block. As it vents off to the left the throat turns to Black Ebony. You can see the back lighting coming in through the port.
I have the top all braced. I need to voice it which will be a bit of a trick because it was better to install the transverse brace early. My plan is to put a piece of masking tape where the brace goes and then glue a dummy onto that so it can be easily removed when done. Unless I come up with a better idea over the weekend
