I have for my Taylor and it's really nice.
But I know they'll still find it tough on the hands/fingers with fairly regular use in the beginning.
It's really to get them started.
Once they fall for guitar, they will go in whatever direction.
But getting past the initial phase is key.
And if this helps, which I know it will, than I say why not.
