The best songs are often ones like yours that are from a personal experience.
In this case, your loss enabled you to write a beautiful song about your frustration and the reality we all face when it comes to those we love. We can’t “fix” or protect them. All we can do is love them.
As someone who has had a similar experience and wrote a song about it, I can appreciate how hard this was for you. At the same time, it was cathartic.
