Just to be clear, yes, it's thicker than a thin cotton shirt sleeve, but it's not a blanket. It's a stretch sleeve that isn't there for the padding, as it provides little if any, but it exists to hold the insert in the proper position. The insert is what makes it valuable.

For me, even a thin long sleeve shirt at 95F (35C) is sticky and sweaty. The Luva sleeve is not 'that' much more uncomfortable. Whatever discomfort exists is offset by the benefit the edge protection it provides, IMO.

Personal ability to deal with less than perfect comfort levels can vary greatly person to person, as always.

It appears it is not valuable for your needs.
