Then the bottom curve between the lower and upper bout that rests on your leg doesn't go straight across front to back. it's angled forward towards the cutaway which holds the body into you.

It does make sense. Thank you. It sounds like the X30 essentially swallows the player to minimize the perceived size of the guitar. There may be one in my future, but at this point after some back and forth with Emerald, I am going with the X20.
