I love my Furch! They are what I always wanted Taylor to sound like. I highly recommend putting 80/20 strings on it, really helps bring out the bass just enough to be more balanced, and less treble heavy!
Also, props to you willing to walk away, and I think your wife sounds like a keeper.
Finally, a professional set up will take it from great playing to incredible, worth the $60 bucks!
