I totally agree with Cuki, it all comes down to headroom in the end. I'm looking at the S1 Pro as a possible replacement for my Roland AC-33 which I'm maxing out on 8xAA cells. Even with the reinforcement of an additional Laney's AH4x4, I'm still having trouble being heard during busking sessions.

Bose's Soundlink Mini was a technical marvel at volume output so I'm hoping the engineering somehow translates to this new unit. It sounds really similar in tonality and seems to go pretty loud in the video. It's a pity there isn't an EQ knob for mids and there isn't a 8" woofer + 5 articulated cones version!
