I had both a Rainsong DR and a Rainsong Jumbo, both made in Washington state. I cannot jugge for the ones made in Hawaii because I never owned one.
The DR and the Jumbo are quite similar, they are both powerful and excellent sounding guitars. If you only flatpick, both of them are great.
If you also play fingesrtyle, in my opinion the Jumbo could be a better choice due to its vfersatility. In both cases, I doubt that you will go wrong.
The most versatile Rainsong, however, is in my mind the WS-1000.
