The distortion was just with that one guy who was strumming really hard. I haven’t heard a trace of it since.
I like it without outboard gear. I usually try to add a bit of body resonance effect and cut 200Hz. The mic takes the place of the body resonance effect and I don’t really need the 200Hz cut.
