Thanks jmat, Guitars are such complex instruments I thought I’d try something different and talk about the top and back/side sets as the starting point. I think it starts to become interesting if we take it down to the perspective of individual pieces of wood and trying to discuss why I would want to pair this piece of wood with that piece of wood instead than the rather generic species statements like “Cedar on Cocobolo”
