Did your guitar look like the top one originally? As others mentioned, it could be the lighting in that photo makes that rosette have so much more contrast then yours. Be curious to see an actual early photo of your guitar. That said, colors do age, lights tend to get darker, and darks tend to get lighter, so your rosettes more blended look seems like it could be totally normal.
