My oldest son and I saw Eric Johnson do an acoustic set live over in Seattle at Jazz Alley not too long ago. And years before that we saw Eric Johnson also do an acoustic set at the University of Washington in Seattle. I have always greatly appreciated Eric's work with the electric guitar, and while I have, I think, all his recordings, I have never seen him play electric guitar live, though my son has.
I really have enjoyed EJ's playing over the years both on electric and acoustic guitar. He is really a pioneer and a legend on the guitar no matter how the guitar is designed.
