For strictly solo performance with zero back-up band.
For playing fingerstyle and in band situation I start here, and adjust based on the role I'm playing.
As Jim suggested minor adjustments will be required at times.
FWIW the Brilliance and the Contour adjustments can be harder to dial in as they seem a bit touchy.
I change the battery monthly.

I was at church today and tried the Rainsong didn't pay any atention to this picture till now. I virtually had the same settings as the first picture. Volume at half, brilliance down all the way mids and treble down. I have found before with this guitar putting the volume at 50% is key, for some reason this preamp can put too much power into the board. My youth minister used my guitar while I was sitting down, I could not tell this was not a wooden guitar. No way did it warrant another pickup. If I was being picky I would use Fishman Aura pedal. But I can guarantee you no one in my congregation would know the difference.
