Good wonderment Ted. When I saw the picture my first thought was how closely the Adamas resembled some of the CF offerings. And when I looked at the price I was amazed. I would have to hear some amazing sound before I could justify what appears to be a price based on name.

That only 50 are being made may sweeten the deal, but not much. Joe made 5 custom nylon string Super OMNs and offered them at less than half the price of the Adamas--and I fail to see how the Adamas could be twice the guitar. I was recently lucky enough to get a one-of-a-kind nylon string X10-OSN from Alistair and it, too, was less than half the price of the Adamas.

I'd bet that the Adamas sells. If you go to the Ovation site who will find yourself in the company of some real zealots. The Adamas was ahead of its time and was (and probably is) a marvelous instrument. Might even be a good long-term investment. But not for me.
