metal/cf tuner bushings?
My imagination got rumbling along tonight when I was drilling a headstock for tuners, and raised a question as to whether a guitar would become more stable in tune if both the tuner body and bushing were fitted into metal or cf sleeves in the headstock. A troublesome step that no one would see, but would it contribute to tuning stability? The material would tend to be stable and not crush from the string tension levering against the tuner riding in wood.
