You've been paying attention! So since you've brought it up I can only ask wouldn't an Olive wreath rosette be an appropriate addition?



I've been working like crazy to get this idea to work. There are 93 different pieces here made of Yellow Heart, Argentinian Verawood, Peruvian Walnut.
In order to add a round look to the olives I scorched the edges using hot sand in a fry pan;





What nice about this method is the shading goes all the way through the wood so it doesn't sand off.
I'll say it's a real trick to set these pieces right into the spruce. I destroyed two top sets figuring this out;





I think it's the right look though;
