I forgot to add pics of my work on the neck and headstock the other day.
Some curly maple veneer for the end pin wedge and heel cap, ziti core for the headstock. I use the coping saw after the kids go to bed; they're light sleepers.
Template for the headstock along with pilot holes for the tuning machines:
