Right. A little care at the end of the assembly line with a set up tech offers a chance for the consumer to more accurately assess a particular guitar. If it’s a matter of purchasing a guitar that doesn’t stay in tune well, then taking it in for a set up (which I do for every guitar anyway), then finding out that nut slot work didn’t solve all of the problem of tuning stability, as mentioned previously, one can end up with a less than stellar example.
I love Gibson anyway but haven’t had this problem with Martins in shop.
