Original tune "Fine" w/ Harp guitar
Hey all,
Haven't posted in awhile, hope everyone's well! This is a tune I wrote a little over a year ago, accompanied by my friend Matt Thomas on a cedar/koa Merrill Harp guitar. The guitar I'm playing is an Italian/Black Walnut Jumbo from Marc Beneteau, powered by a K&K Trinity pickup into a Dtar Solstice. Hope a few of you enjoy it.
Lyrics:
This time of year I'll never understand
Spring has sprung but Summer's in the air
I feel brand new but somehow just the same
The same old shoes, but my engines runnin' clean
Now I'm not beneath this
There's clouds beneath my feet and
Every time I say I'm fine
At least now I mean it
Someone whispered something fine in my ears
Never say you're sorry even if it brings you fear
Certain folks might say you've got no soul
The chances are they're cheating and just laying out some role
Now I'm not beneath this
There's clouds beneath my feet and
Every time I say I'm fine
At least now I mean it
They say your skin grows thicker with each and every winter
I don't want to be a wrecking ball
Want to climb every mountain until I think I've found something
Finer than I've ever known
Now I'm not beneath this
There's clouds beneath my feet and
Every time I say I'm fine
At least now I mean it
