Saddles, truss rod, strings I can manage and I have very tentatively taken a file to address one very high nut slot on a guitar, but that's about it. I did buy a set of fret erasers (rubbers) in varying degrees of abrasive, for polishing those frets the manufacturer forgot-usually all of them.
