I have both the De Oro and the NeckUp and can’t play without them (AGF’er Eric Skye has the same love for the Neckup). I find these are more way more comfortable than using a footrest.
I have no shoulder issues and have gravitated to where I own only 12 fret short scale guitars. They are just so comfortable to play especially if you are primarily a fingerstyle player.
