Offered for sale is this very nice 1973 Martin D-35, serial number 350170. 25.4"scale length. Spruce and Indian rosewood.
It has always been stored in a safe environment - no exposure to heat or cold. It hasn't been played very much after sending it back to Martin in 1998 for all new frets and new pick guard. They also corrected the intonation so that it plays perfectly in tune in any key. Copies of all of the original documentation associated with this guitar will be provided at time of sale.
This guitar is 100% functional in every way. The excellent tuning machines hold the tuning well. It has a deep, rich, and full tone, which is typical of a Martin dreadnought.
The finish is original with some surface scratches, nicks, and a surface blemish near the bottom strap button. These can be seen in additional pictures that can be provided. Truly in great shape though for a 47 year old guitar.
The matching Martin hard shell case is original and comes with the guitar. It is in good used condition showing moderate wear inside. The outside has some light marks and scratches. The 5 latches, 3 hinges, and the handle are all solid and completely functional. There is a slight separation of the shell as shown in one of the pics, but it doesn't affect the function of this durable case.
