Hello Folks...this is a brand new guitar that was built for Tom Bowersox' BIG show held in New Braunfels, Texas. It's my
"Solis" model, which is similar to an Auditorium or SJ size, and it's the largest instrument in the
Two Hands Guitar Company lineup. This guitar was the most popular of the four I brought to the show, and there are many people here on the forum who have played it, and who could offer their impressions.
This guitar was created not only for her big, full, rich,overtone-laden voice...but to also be a visual show-piece. It features a fully-trimmed Florentine Cutaway, a one-piece Honduran Mahogany neck, and a Mastergrade Alaskan Bearclaw-Sitka Spruce soundboard sitting atop Exhibition-grade Waterfall-figured Bubinga back and sides. The fingerboard, bridge, front and back headstock plates, bevels & bindings are all crafted from Gabon Ebony...and the purflings are crafted from 3D-figured Flamed Maple with black veneer lines. It has a Modified X-Fan bracing pattern underneath the soundboard, and all of the bracing has been crafted from Tunnel-14 Redwood.
