It’s a grounding issue. Check the pickup element for damage would be my first suggestion. Other options are to make sure the system you are plugging into is properly grounded; I used to have similar issues with my Guild and even my ES2 Taylor which is why I grounded all the electrical outlets in my home - problem went away!
