That said, first time post, amateur, with many decades into a gear journey, but still an amateur all around, so that's the big problem with buying any mic. Any mic in the hands of an amateur is anyone's guess to how great it 'sounds'. That said, I think if mics as how they pair with a preamp (much like my guitars to amps)
