Aesthetically, I agree Tom.... John has a myriad of BRW bridge blanks many of which are darker. Those were merely some that he had made that he laid on the top as examples.

Yes Louie, we are discussing bridge weight and damping and how it might affect the sound of the guitar. BRW is lighter with low damping, Ebony is heavier with high damping and ABW is heaviest and has low damping.
