I’ve owned a few Teles over the years. Including the Baja mentioned. They’re great guitars in their own right. Superb value and features. To a purist...they’re not a “real” Tele. To me...they’re a FANTASTIC buy if looking for a Tele with a wide array of features.
That being said, my new Players series is one of the most fun Teles I’ve owned. Great necks, 22 frets, alnico V pickups, stellar build quality.
Is it the BEST Tele money can buy...doubtful. But, it is a great Tele to have in the stable. You betcha...Especially considering it’s price point.
