It's been too long since I've played an EC, so cannot comment. I have owned numerous Martin MLO necked guitars in the past few years. I'm not terribly fussy on necks, but certainly have favorites. The MLO is not optimal to me. My old 1974 D-28 had one of the better necks IMO (full-C), but close behind is my 1944 00-18. I'd call that a "mild V".

The new 000-28 CA is very similar to that. Although Martin claims the neck is Mod V. I think it's wonderfully comfortable to play.
