I think that I paid about the same for the refret job on my 1979 Guild F512 a few years ago. It is a well known shop here in Portland OR....(Portland Fretworks)..plus had new nut made for it. It plays like a new guitar now.. with low action i can say that it plays as easy as my Taylor jumbo 12 string. So for me it was worth the money because of the condition of the guitar.. for its age.
