No, not lap slide, Spanish. On a lot of 12 strings, the octave string sits lower in the nut than the heavier string, or possibly at the same height, but being of smaller diameter, is physically lower than the heavier string. Just wondering if you even them out for playing.

In other words, if you drag a bottleneck across, say, the bottom 4 strings (2 courses) would the bottleneck hit them evenly?
