Seems that BC picks are a constant and repeated subject here.

Let's just get one or two things straight. The pick that Justin seems to be using is, I believe, a TD50.

TD means standard 351 style teardrop, and the 50 means 50/1000" (1.23 m/m).

The picks up to "60" - cost $35, plus $5 to be personalised. This price has not increased since they were introduced.

Shipping is extra, and, of course, shipping to the UK/EU costs more than in the USA.

Also, if the value of the package is over £27 more UKC&E may impose an excise duty, and 20% VAT.

When I bought mine, a single pick was under £27 but exchange rates have changed. (I got burnt for one shipment of more than one pick - learnt my lesson).

Sound : I would not expect a listener to discern the difference in tone between this pick and another of similar shape and thickness, but I would expect most guitarists to sense the feel, speed etc.

Finally :

My car takes 65 litres of petrol, at £1.33 per litre. That is £86.45. At the current ROE = $110.15.

If you value half a tank higher than a lifetime lasting pick. OK.
