My first, way back in the '70s, was a Magnatone with grey MOT celluloid covering that turned out too have become dry and brittle. I had to do a repair and I simply
touched it with a drill and the MOT exploded into a million tiny pieces bottom to top, taking the fretboard decal with it. End.
